A Regency rosewood and boxwood string breakfront side cabinet circa 1805 in the Egyptian taste retaining the original grey St Anne marble top inset with a brass border . The frieze capped with 4 bronze and gilt brass bordered Pharaonic heads terminating at the base in twin bronze feet . The four cupboard doors with adjustable shelving  and retaining their original gilded lattice grilles .
This beautiful side cabinet in softly faded inlaid rosewood is a rare and early example of the fashionable Gout Egyptienne following Nelson's victory at the Battle of the Nile in 1802 .
