A very attractive Central European painted armoire dated 1829 with the original painted decoration in duck egg blue,red white and black.
This cupboard was probably made to commemorate a marriage or significant family event and retails all its original decoration. It has the added bonus of being made in two halves presumably to enable it to be carried upstairs in a farmhouse and retains all its original clothes hooks as well as hanging rail across the middle as well as having a useful drawer below.
In good solid condition it would make a great hall cupboard for storage of coats.
